Reasonably technical walk along the Crete de Vars, offering superb views of the surrounding mountains. You can even take your mountain bike. Somewhat interesting if you have vertigo as the edge of the crete is quite steep in places!

To access this walk take the D902 south from Guillestre towards St. Marcellin (sadly not of cheese fame), a few kilometres along take the hairpin turning left back on yourself for the Refuge de Basse Rua. This road follows quite high up along the river gorge and looks like no one uses it, however rest assured at the Refuge de Basse Rua you’ll find caravans and all sorts parked there.
