parked in lower town fishguard at quay (take left turn off single track road after descending hill into lower fishguard. parking was free. bus stop round corner. took 404 poppit rocket to parrog (check!)

Fishguard has lots of shops, but not in lower town, if you drive through fishguard there is tesco local, and various other local shops.

Walk starts out of newport sands, along road and quickly joins costal path. lovely views across beaches. nice holiday houses here. tea shop should you need refreshments.

Could easily park along route at multiple places if you wanted to shorten this slightly.

pass a couple of nice little beaches, aber rhigian, aber fforest, continue along to church. toilets and parking (not free) at church. good spot to do dinas head loop from.

being climb up dinas head which is a reasonable ascent, can completely skip this off should you wish via inland path. stopped at top of here for lunch

descend down dinas head to pwllgwaelod to meet road briefly. nice pub here “the old sailor”. does pub food, ice cream, and nice evening food. good call for lunch spot, great view

then climb back up onto coast path, continue along to aber bach, nice beach, pretty, good spot for a stop. could possible park here, but parking has been restricted, presumably due to people using beach. maybe swim here? (sandy)

from aber bach can see all the way back to the huge port at fishguard, only 6km back. easy section.

big campsite on here, labelled as Castell Fm on OS map, actually called fishguardbay resort. walk through this, could stop for coffee or ice cream. good views.

 

lots of cafes on this walk and amenities.

lots of beaches on this walk and access points, plenty of places to stop.
